I am a mercedes lover to the max, but I have to give toyota credit for making car's that don't break down even when people neglect them. For work I have a '92 Toyota pick up truck, which over the years has amassed 300k, with out a tune up, once a year oil changes and only defects so far have been the bushings on the starter that went two years ago, and the clutch last summer. I recently did the factory spark plugs, not because it was having problems, but I figured they'd probobly need changing. Amazing.
Mean while my mercedes has been babied since day one, and till 2 years ago was dealer serviced and I have all reciepts for manitance and repairs....with major break downs for a total of $13, 000....and I still love it to death...sometimes the wife gets a lil jealous

..lol

I did replace the plugs two years ago before the smog test, it barely passed, July will have to try again, will probably have to donate it.
On the possitive side,
I will soon be driving the 380 SL, as soon as I can put it back together, can't wait.
