The front bumper cover on a 129 is very easy to remove. ( 5 mins with a 10mm socket wrench ) It is light weight and made of fiberglass composite material. So, when mine needed repair and repaint, I removed it and took it to a local bodyshop. They filled the holes, patched the cracks, sanded and repainted for $400. It looks as good as new. The cost of a new bumper cover is over $1300 plus painting cost. So, I figure I got a real bargain. Check with an independent body shop which works in fiberglass.
