I just purchased a 01 XJR and sold my 94 E320. I must say the Jaguar is definitly more sexy, has a much more inviting interior, and imho more fun to drive as well. With that being said, I believe that the structure or quality of materials in Benz are superior. I had 241k miles on the clock when I sold her and she was as tight a structure as when I purchased her. The materials held up VERY well but I had to spend quit a bit on her too. The likes of all M104, head gasket, timing cover gasket, wiring harness, throttle body actuator, heater blower motor, flex disks, motor mounts, brakes etc. She defintly wasnt the cheapest car to own but it was a pleasure to drive! I just cant see with all that I have poured into her that the Jag will be any more expensive to own. Just my 2 cents.
