Operating on the assumption that the pump has ingested a hunk of fuel tank krud of some sort, you might try some sort of addative known to liquify krud. Something like Diesel 911, Startron, Dieselene, etc. Basically some addative which contains naptha or something similar. Of course, this won't help if it ate a rust flake or something, so, it's a bit of a crap shoot.
