Front-end rumble could also be caused by failing front wheel bearings. When did you check/adjust/repack yours last?

Don't ask how I know, I'll tell you: I had a front wheel bearing fail on the highway at speed. Wheel bearing cage failed and welded itself to the front spindle by the time I could stop the car.

Terrifying.
