Hi Jim,
I am in dire need of this repair, too, and I was going to order the CD-ROM from the dealer, my question to you is are you referring to the MB CD-ROM purchased from the dealer ($165) or is there another available? Also, did you get your replacement strap (door check) from the MB Dealer or did you find one cheaper elsewhere?

Anyone with any experience on replacing a W210 Door check, please offer any helpful info. Thanks!
