Ok the banjo bolt...well I knew what I had to do but I didn't realize that little thing was actually the much-discussed banjo bolt...
I will definitely clean it; I have some carburator cleaner that should do that nicely. I don't know if I will see a performance increase or not, because I'm pretty sure it was connected the last time I drove it; I must have knocked it off while changing glow plugs. It is pretty dirty, though, so maybe this is a blessing in disguise. The power was always better than I expected but my car is the only 300D I've ever driven, so what do I know?
Isn't there a fitting on the line that connects to the banjo bolt? Am I going to have to order something from somewhere or will a local hardware shop have all the parts I need? Or do people just melt the line onto the bolt as you suggested? I'm pretty sure I've read somethign on here about a fitting for the line.
