I pulled the two cables to the alarm box (they were connected to the box that was ticking with the alarm going off)-and the alarm quit (of course I had already disconnected the battery). End of story? Nah.

After that I started the car just to make sure I hadn't pulled the wrong connection. No problem.

I put the glovebox back in and turned the key, crank, crank, crank, no start. Crank, crank, no start. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

This car needs a cliff and big shove.
