Interesting, something similar happened to me. When I applied for a high mileage badge for my 1985 300D California emissions model a few weeks later I got a letter from MercedesBenz USA telling me that the trap oxidizer recall needs to be done on my car... the thing is I had already inquired at the dealer whether it had been done or not and they said it had been done... need to get to the bottom of this.
