Inspect how the belt is cut...is it sheared, worn off, or just shredded?

Do you hear any noises while the belt travels along the pulleys?

I kinda go with Parrot of Doom...could be a seized pulley. There are two with clutches...the A/C compressor and the air pump. I can't recall if the fan clutch is directly coupled to the engine or if it rides the pulley configuration...
