I've been helping a friend with his '77 F150. Before the last engine overhaul, it made a 13.7 second run at just over 100mph. We put hypereutectic pistons in, bumping up the compression ratio a bit and very carefully adjusting the ring end-gap. It already had .600 lift at the valves. It hasn't seen the track since the engine was reinstalled, but I'm hoping for under 13 seconds. We estimate it at about 450hp. It's a blast to drive, even if it really only likes to go straight.
