Nissan will do anything to sell a Quest, early ones had some small quality control problems, but I always found Nissan drivetrains to be robust.
2007 models have been or are about to be redesigned with a less funky interior and other sundry improvements.

But after reading the review above of the KIA it sounds hard to beat.
