Plugging in for a tank and block heaters are a big deal if you don't have an outlet and a length of cable, timer, etc, etc. My 99 Powerstroke didn't want to start up in 10 degree weather. It was too far for the cord I had. Turned to the gas car and it fired right up. BTW, my dad plugged his powerstroke in for a month and his electric bill doubled. However, he needed the truck to be on standby.
