This can be done but it is a significant (not major though) job. You have to remove the window assemblies from inside the car. Doing so entails the removal of the back seats, side walls, top & side moldings. Then you have to carefully pry the glass off of the plastic frames. It's easiest at that point to take the louvers to a body shop and have them paint them for you. Then you can re-assemble.

If you're going to do this, it's best t o clean and re-lube the rear window asseblies as well.

I did my 5 liter SLC and it looks great.
