There used to be a pogey plant (menhaden) in Cameron, Louisiana. Hurricane Rita destroyed it. I remember when the wind was, "favorable" you could smell it in Holly Beach, about 5 miles away. Rita took out Holly Beach, too. All that is left are pilings and slabs.
