I like simple.
I have an old 72 450sl engine I keep for spare parts. I plan in the next year to pull the intake and fab or machine an intake for a small low profile 4 barrel. In this way, I can get rid of all the brittle FI wire harnes and all the complicated accelorator and trans kick-down linkage. I can also rip out the computer and all its sensors and cold air valve and cold start injector and don't forget the FI points. I don't have any problem with the D-Jets I am running, I'm just looking for a simple light and robust system with cheap parts as a backup.
