I wonder why he does not make the best of the situation and find a car with a good body that needs a new heart transplant going cheap (using his current motor)? My friend has a frame machine. He gets some really amazing results pulling out damaged cars on his frame machine. You would then need a hood, fender, grill, radiator, fan etc. to fix your car. If you paid a shop owner for a few hours of machine time to pull out that body you might be really surprised at the results. Then again a donor car might be easier that just needs a new motor, transmission, or both. Sorry for your loss. Go for $650 now at least for the motor and trans. Then part out the interior door panels, seats, dash, trunk lid, rear bumper, passenger doors etc. Have fun and you get to drive your neighbors crazy at the same time.
