I just had a similar problem with my 03 E500. Same squeak everytime I went over a bump, got in and out of the car or closed the door. They replaced the "ball joints", cost about $600, my extended warranty covered about $400 of it, runs great now, no squeak and it saved me the hassel of running the car into a tree to stop the noise. I feel your pain.
