Hey,

I recently drove a 1995 S350D and was amazed at how quiet the engine was at idle. I previously owned a 87 300 SDL and a 80 300D, which are rattle very loudly at idle.

What did MB do to quiet the 350 down? Can any of that be applied to an older diesel to make it quieter?
