On my 94 E320 I move the rear wheels to the front on the same side, and move the left front to the right rear and the right front to the left rear. Have done this every 5,000 miles on my current tires (currently at 20,000 miles) and they are wearing very evenly. Try posting this question on the Wheels and Tires Forum.
