Before even thinking of the upper body problems really investigate the floor pans , subframe rails and anything structurial related underneath. Unfortunatly 114/115 bodies can have some really serious rust issues sometimes. A lot may depend on where you live and do not be fooled by a layer of undercoating make sure you probe with an awl or screwdriver under there.
