Just found the forum and saw all the talk about the Premium Octane.
Like the title stated, I have a '77 450 SEL V8 that I just purchased with 86K original miles and I am wondering about the recommended octane level, so that I can protect the engine properly.
The label on the dash just states "UNLEADED GASOLINE ONLY".

Am I safe with the 87 Octane?
