My engine temperature doesn't get hot enough. It runs at about 60 degrees, only inching toward 80 on long treks uphill. I am leaking some oil, most seems to be from around the cover gasket. I lost about 1.5 liters in the last 2,800 miles I drove.

I am going to put a new thermostat in, which I think will fix my engine temp. problem. I am wondering if I can expect to leak significantly more oil, though, or if there is likely to be a very small or no difference. I'm not really sure what, if anything, to expect.
