OK,
I may have a lead on a 280 SE 4.5 euro parts car FS. Automatic, too far gone to restore but has some good body panels. I confirmed it is a euro 100% for sure by the date codes on some parts that would not have been sold in the US with that date code... but if someone can point me to a reference on VIN numbers, I can check even more closely.
EDIT: It wasn't a euro model, plain jane USA stuff. Oops.
What else on this is unusual? the lights are already gone, but the body has some good sheetmetal & there is some interior & trim stuff still there. Managed to talk the owner out of the euro heat controls for my 70. Score.
the engine looks good, I could be persuaded to give it a leakdown & boroscope inspection if someone made me a good enough offer to make the whole thing worth my while. I could store it for a month or so, or arrange shipping, but it would have to be prepaid. I can't really justify buying the whole thing unless I have cash in hand. I am in Missouri.
take care,
Jester
