It's interesting how apocalypticism has a long history in that area. I wonder if there is any historical connection between Christian Apocalypticism and the Shia?
What is it about the species that results in these scenarios? Is it a result of patriarchy insofar as people yearn for the return of the revered Patriarach to save people from danger? A kind of Confucianism in reverse?
