As much as we often gripe about PO's, they are the reason some of these old cars look mint. Pride in ownership!

As far as paint goes, that's a crap shoot in my mind. Some colors just don't hold up well, like Silver. Where the car spent it's life, dry Southwest or salty northern climes.
