Conclusive Proof?

Its gotta be . . . I moved suspect injector to cylinder 5 and vice versa. Knocking moved to cylinder 5, and cracking the line at cylinder 5 results in no knocking. Gotta be the injector. A visual examination of the suspect injector showed that the little pin on the end of the nozzle was flush with surface of the nozzle, whereas the good one from #5 extended just a bit . . . I don't know how these injectors are supposed to look, but I'm guessing that's what one looks like when it is stuck open. Both injectors had a pretty good coating of carbon, so I'm guessing the all of the nozzles were due to be replaced anyway.

Man, I can't tell you what a sigh of relief it is to know that the injector is at fault!

I'm off to order order my bosios . . .

Eric
