But it's entirely possible that you might have achieved the same level of happiness with a new filter and fresh Dexron. A transmission will typically work better with fresh fluid, so crediting all of the improvement to the synthetic fluid might not be reasonable.
The placebo effect can be a powerful thing. My engine always seems to run smoother after I wax my car!!!
