I am considering building a full touch screen PC-system into my car though at some point to handle GPS, radio/music/(movies when parked etc)...and so on...and just for the "wow" factor, maybe I could even digitize the windows with relays and stuff, press "half front" on the screen and both front windows go down half way or something...... With an actual pc temperature sensors would be a piece of cake, you could just use normal USB or serial temp sensors and have it display along the top of the screen. Wow...I am drooling at doing something like this..... The best kind of screen is the ones that fit in a very narrow slat, about 2cm thick, then when turned on the screen comes out, and flips up....so its hidden when off and you can keep the dash almost completely stock looking......if I find a good enough job this summer and have some extra $$ I might look into something like that.....
