every state is different,i wish they would all get together and allow concealed permit holders to cross state lines,this would eliminate alot of confusion.go to south dakota and get a purchase permit,and your purchase permit is a concealed permit that is just like a drivers license,has your picture and all which i think is a great idea,but here in iowa you have to take a safety course and then hope to god that the county sheriff will give you one and you better have a damn good reason to have one.county i used to live in the sheriff basically told me if i wasn't in some type of law inforcement to forget it,county i'm in now sheriff signed my permit and i have never met the man,go figure.
