You cut off the old one so that's not a problem. Your choices when fitting the replacement include:

- set the replacement in boiling water to make it more flexible

- trim just enough of the pipe extending from the head so you can fit the replacement. Look at the position of the clamp around the slimmer section of hose and determine how much you can cut. There's no bead to worry about.
