Got it opened after a look at another 129 today. The body shop assembled the rear of car and missed the latch when installing the rod from lock to latch.
By remaoval of rt license lamp a screwdriver can be inserted into the slot to release the latch. Still cant see it but its there. Look at one open and its obvious.With out seeing it , it was tough to figure out how I was gonna do it.
