I just found out I have one of those cars that needs a special dipstick and thermometer to check my trans fluid. I guess MB had their reasons. Can anyone tell me what are the tools I need and what do they cost. Are these tools available aftermarket or only from MB. Where can I find a good proceedure to service this transmission.

The car is a 1996 SL600
