Hey Redfar, the resistor is located on the frame approx. 12 inches or less from the drier towards the firewall. It is made of ceramic material. The wire connector screws were really rusted up. I had to cut them off with my dremel tool using a cutting wheel so I could still use the original wire connector ends. If you go to www.speedycarparts.com they will give you a picture of the part so you will know what you are looking for.
