Correct a lot of old money may buy a MB new but keep it for 10-15 years. So if they all look similer people think you have a pretty new car. Take a W210 for example. A real nice 1996 can look like a very late model car to the casual observer. BMW and MB better be carefull if they change their designs to often. Jag does not suffer from this problem, buy a mid 90's and people think its new!

Coming from a conservative 20 year old, I'd buy a W221 before a new 7. The new 7 is to flashy for my tastes.
