I am looking at the whole heater box, evaporator box, blower motor box...they are all connected from what I can tell, but can't figure out what is holding it all in place. I have disconnected the two hoses that hook up to the expansion valve. I have disconnected the three hoses that go to the heater core. I have removed three bolts that hold this thing in, but it doesn't seem to want to come out. There seems to be a rather large gap in the picture sequence as I can't see that once the dash came out, the evaporator leaped out of the car. Any advice will be appreciated as I'd like to finish up this project as fast as possible.

Sorry about dropping the ball on this project....when you posted, I was in the process of driving to NW Arizona and back.
TO get the HVAC unit out, you will need to remove the center console and all the rear passenger ducting hidden in the console. I think there may also be another nut holding the HVAC to the firewall...try looking behind the upper left side of the HVAC.
