Do your customer a favor and just have it serviced. The more I think about these transmissions I think Mercedes did the right thing with the dipstick.... While its annoying that its sealed it keeps that idiot at the oil change place from contaminating your fluid by checking the fluid with a dirty rag....
The service should be under $200 and most likely will make the delay problem go away.... You will have no "questions" to deal with and your customer will be good to go for a long time.....
