It appears that there may be some other issues with this setup. I saw on the SL forum discussions about ARS and when it is not working the engine goes into limp home mode. If I am going to run this engine on a stand will I need an ARS system hooked up with all its sensors or is there a way too fool the computer and make it think ARS is on and fully funcational and the wheels are not spinning?. Make it act like a mechanical linkage.

What other features may be involved besides ARS? I can just picture this car requiring the radio to be installed for the engine to run correctly!!!!
