i think carbon and goop can be removed from inside the cylinder...

in the resturant world there is the product call "diablo" carbon remover
you soak any metal in it and it will clean it perfectly... what is to stop me from filling the cylinders with this while I am cleaning the injectors... then I could simply remove it and rince the cylinders with say oil or diesel...
