i saw a guy using out board engine fuel tanks... they are cheap used... and if you had 2 of the same kinds... with 1/4 turn lid.... you run your hot water through the lid... and put an L shaped pipe into the tank and it will heat your tank... then you just take the lid out and switch tanks....
