If I wanted to use the old drive (just as storage) and drive controller, do I just plug it all in and turn it on, then after BIOS get into the Adapatec software to make it a slave? I do not believe it has any jumpers on it. The old drive has 98 loaded.

I'm not sure but I think you will have a problem with the scsi, are you adding the scsi card? if you are I THINK you would add it as primary slave. Google is your friend on that one.
