Maybe the strangest situation is a black poly tube about 1 foot long and about 5mm diameter going thru the firewall. I noticed it pulled out with little or no resistance. I also pulled another small black tube out the same way. I pulled the panel off under the drivers side to see if I could find where they came from but couldn't find the place of connection...soooo I'm still quite puzzled. I hate to say it but I may have to break down and find a mechanic who has the ability to put it back in shape and have it done.
