So when you say that the whole steering column needs to be replaced - what cost range are we talking about. It sounds pretty pricey - and I dont know if this is a "do it yourself" - b/c I dont want to fool around with such a vital part of the vehicle.

Any additional insight that you may provide would be amazing. Also - if you did it yourself, how much were the parts roughly and is the steering column something that can be replaced, easily?
