Can someone please explain the function of the microswitch on the IP? What are the symptoms when its defective? Can a defective microswitch cause a high idle RPM in Park?

Specifically,

Warm Engine >80C: - AC ON, idle is ok, both in drive and in park=630 RPM
Warm Engine >80C: - AC OFF, Idle in Drive=630rpm, Idle in Park=900 RPM

Engine Cold <80C:- AC ON, or OFF, idle OK, both in drive and park=630 RPM
