Sooo.... adjusted valves hot rather than cold, also tighter than specification. Please share the long term results of your experiment.
I have an M110 in the SL, adjusted the valves to the specs. on the loose side (holdover from my air cooled Porsche days) have a minor bit of noise. Will adjust to the tight side as factory recommends next time, see if any difference other than noise.
