My SD can pull to 60 in around 12.1 seconds max on flat ground, and easily hits the max speed of about 113mph.....but to do it in 9 seconds would be intense, our van has a 170hp gasser and it can barely lug itself to 60 in 10 seconds without blowing rods @6700rpm and having parts fall off.

Our '83 hauls harder to 60 than my SD (has a bit stronger engine), but it has a slower takeoff in the first 10mph or so (alda probably) and I estimate it about 12.3-12.5 seconds to 60. It also has the modded tranny that does the "slipshift" during the 1-2 gear change, so it looses some acceleration time there, mine is the older style and just SLAMS it in.
