One of the best I've heard is from Kenny Schader's new book, Gotta Race.

He and his then girlfriend, Ann, had been dating quite a while. Apparently she had been picking up quite a few of the tabs because his racing didn't leave much money for fun things. When she reached the point where she thought they needed to get serious about their relationship, she presented him with an itemized invoice for about $2500. His choice was simple; either marry the girl or pay the invoice.........

He's always been my favorite NASCAR driver, and the one with the best sense of humor.
