Tool

On the 140 they are held in by a little plug that must be pulled out with a tool. I had pictures of it off WIS. I made one from an old screw driver and just kept cutting it down until it fit. You stick it in, turn it 90 degrees and pull gently. The little plug pops out, then you can remove the assembly.

It was full of scum. Blew out with canned air and then made sure with the air compressor. You can feel the air coming out of the nozzle holes with your tongue or want ever.

Test the washers before you go any further to make sure that the thing is getting water.

Reattach the heater circuits and the water hose and reinstall into the hood. Then just press the little plugs back into the housing. The side of the plug that has two ridges goes toward the front of the car.

Job done in 10 minutes once you have the right tool.
