My 2 cents. I am not going to buy any MB beyond 1995 without a warranty.

I have no car payments, but have recently been contemplating modernization.
The car you are considering could be a tremendous money pit. Furthermore, the expenditures may come in spurts. This can be difficult to handle. You could burn through many thousands in a car as complex as this one. Many computers, steering rack, sealed transmission (has the fluid been changed? If not then it will look like brown syrup. Big bucks.)

Must be a reason for the $9,000 price.

Want a good wagon? Find a '95 with lower mileage and maintenance records.
