Hydroplaning W124
I have a '93 300E with nearly 160,000 miles, and after driving through a couple of nasty rainstorms in the past week I'm really not enjoying how the car reacts to water on the roadways. Basically, if there's any standing water on the road the car feels like it's severely hydroplaning -- today it felt like it was going to go sideways off the road a couple times, and I wasn't even going very fast.
At first I thought it might just be the tires, but the car has been like this with three different sets of tires. I'm also guessing that this isn't a common W124 issue, which leads me to think maybe something in my suspension is out of kilter.
Other than new Bilsteins at approximately 90,000 miles and one new tie rod at about 110,000 the suspension hasn't been touched. Is there anything in the suspension that would cause this sort of behavior?
Thanks,
Mike
